Sudbury’s Family Health Team in business

The City of Lakes Family Health Team celebrated the opening of its Sudbury site on November 14. The team consists of seven physicians, four nurse practitioners, an RN and administrative staff, but plans to hire another RN and nurse practitioner as well as a pharmacist, registered dietitian and social worker.

The physicians will have full hospital privileges at Sudbury Regional Hospital to provide seamless care for their patients.

Almost 12,000 patients had registered by mid-November. The first site opened in Val Caron in May 2008. Future sites to be opened will be Walden and Chelmsford.
