Dr. Danielle Martin to speak in Sudbury June 13

Women to celebrate renowned MD
Celebrate Women will present author and health specialist, Dr. Danielle Martin, June 13 at Fraser Auditorium. A staunch defender of medicare, she has developed a reputation as a commentator on health issues and addressed the American Senate subcommittee looking at Obamacare. She is a medical commentator on CBC’s National News and has a column in Chatelaine.
Martin is a professor of family and community medicine at the University of Toronto, and was one of two prominent physicians appointed to the National Health Review of major Canadian healthy organizations.
Her book, Better Now: Six Big Ideas to Improve Health Care for All Canadians, will be the feature at Celebrate Women event.
Celebrate Women is CFUW Sudbury’s signature event, created in 1996 in partnership with the YWCA Sudbury and the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund (LEAF).
